About the Role
Amazon is hiring motivated and customer-focused Area Managers across Canada for 2026. This is a hands-on, on-site leadership position within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operations facilities — not a remote or corporate office role.
As an Area Manager, you’ll lead a team of 50–100 Amazon Associates, driving productivity, safety, and performance in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You’ll be a key part of the operations leadership team, ensuring smooth workflows, efficient processes, and strong team morale. Amazon offers comprehensive training to help you grow into an effective and confident people leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of hourly Amazon Associates
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including package handling, truck deliveries, and PIT equipment usage
- Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met
- Support process improvements and workflow optimization
- Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs
- Stand or walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
- Lift and move packages weighing up to 49 lbs and perform regular physical activity such as bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada without employer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Passion for operations, logistics, and people development
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities
