Canada Post is hiring Mail Service Couriers to support growing delivery demand in the City of Ottawa. This is a temporary, on-call position ideal for professional drivers seeking courier jobs with a nationally recognized employer. You will operate a corporate vehicle to collect, transport, and deliver mail while ensuring safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

As online commerce continues to expand, this role plays a critical part in keeping Canada connected. All couriers have equal access to available shifts and opportunities for long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload mail while keeping Canada Post property secure
• Collect, sort, and deliver mail to designated routes
• Operate portable communication devices
• Perform vehicle safety inspections and checks
• Complete delivery documentation and maintain records
• Communicate professionally with customers and the public
• Shuttle delivery vehicles between parking and loading platforms

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class 3, Class D, or higher driver’s licence
• Provincial Air Brake Endorsement
• Safe driving record for at least 3 years
• Recent driver’s abstract (issued within last 30 days)
• Ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lbs)
• Availability to work on short notice

Preferred Experience

• Customer service experience
• Professional courier or commercial delivery experience
• Experience operating 5-ton trucks or larger vehicles
