Job Description – Essential Day to Day Duties & Responsibilities:
. Verifies that business booked is within hotel parameters.
· Closes the best opportunities based on market conditions and individual property needs.
· Executes operational aspects of business confirmed (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
· Reviews and supports the work of the Sales Co-Ordinator to ensure accuracy in proposals, contracts, and client communications
· Assists Executive Team in planning of budgets and programs including advertising, public/media relations, database/direct marketing, sales promotions, event marketing, website, and collateral development.
· Works collaboratively with other departments (e.g., Room Division, Reservations and Front Office Team) to verify sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and not duplicative.
· Acts as a liaison between the Sales Co-Ordinator and other departments to ensure seamless communication and execution of bookings.
· Performs creative, professional and effective site inspection tours to prospective clients.
· Effectively resolves guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process.
· Supports the resolution of escalated client or operational issues involving the Sales Co-Ordinator.

· Transfers accurate, complete, and timely information to property in accordance with brand standards.
· Provides input for the weekly and monthly forecast.
· Assists in reviewing and validating sales reports and forecasts prepared by the Sales Co-Ordinator
· Understands and actively utilizes company marketing initiative/incentives to close on business.
· Effectively leverages other sales resources to achieve personal and team related revenue goals and comfortably entertains appropriate clients.
· Supports onboarding and training of new sales team members as required
· Possibility of business travel to represent professionally the hotel in the intent to convert and/or uncover sales leads.
· Implements an ongoing program for employee orientation, training and development.
· Ensures the Sales Coordinator is fully trained on systems, processes, and brand standards
· Ensures that quality services are rendered by the department in meeting guest needs and that guest relations are enhanced.
· Monitors service standards within the sales process and provides corrective guidance when necessary
· Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to all staff and colleagues.
· Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures within the sales team
· Maintains a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
· Maintains a healthy social workplace free from bullying or prejudice
· Promotes a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment
· Provides recommendations for personal and staff development and continuously works to maintain a progression plan for the department.
· Participates in performance evaluations and provides input on the development of the Sales Co-Ordinator
· Knowledgeable of hotel property, amenities, area attractions and transportation.
· Prepares for, attends and takes the appropriate actions for weekly/monthly and annual meetings as required by the Direct Report.
· Handles and responds in a timely manner to incoming corporate/group/catering/transient inquiries that are within predefined Sales parameters.

· Works with customers to align preferences with brand needs and actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenues and drive customer loyalty.
· Verifies that business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery.
· Maintains customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
· Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future/repeat bookings.
· Supervises the daily activities of the Sales Co-Ordinator, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with departmental standards.
· Provides ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to the Sales Co-Ordinator to support professional development and operational effectiveness
· Assists in delegating sales tasks and prioritizing workload within the sales team to ensure deadlines and revenue goals are met
· Demonstrates excellent selling skills, strong communication skills, and a detailed understanding of property operations, food and beverage, and planning.
· Monitors team performance metrics and supports the achievement of individual and team sales targets.
· Understands the overall market (e.g., competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand) and how to feature benefits against them.

● Working Conditions:
○ Will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays based on hotel needs.
○ Will be required to work in a fast paced, stressful environment.
○ Will be required to be on call when away from work.
○ Will be required to work more than 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week depending on business demands.
