Second Cup South Common is hiring a skilled Baker for a full-time, permanent position in Edmonton, Alberta. This role is ideal for experienced bakery professionals who enjoy working with doughs, pastries, cakes, and specialty baked goods in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare dough for breads, rolls, pies, and sweet goods

• Mix batters for muffins, cookies, cakes, icings, and frostings

• Bake doughs and batters according to recipes or special orders

• Prepare pastries for special occasions (weddings, birthdays)

• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods

• Create production schedules and manage daily output

• Supervise and train baking and kitchen staff

• Order and requisition bakery materials, supplies, and equipment

• Ensure all baked products meet quality and presentation standards

• Oversee merchandising and sales of baked goods

Job Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• 3 to less than 5 years of baking experience

• English language proficiency

• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills

Work Schedule

• Early morning shifts
