Jack and Jill Framing Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter for a full-time, permanent role in Stony Plain, Alberta. This position is well suited for experienced tradespeople looking for stable carpenter jobs in residential and structural construction, with long weekly hours and competitive pay.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
• Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes and project specifications
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect wall and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Assist with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
• Estimate labour and material costs
• Schedule and coordinate on-site work activities
• Supervise and instruct apprentices and other workers
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and renovations on residential and commercial structures
• Use hand tools, power tools, and nail guns safely and efficiently

Job Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 2 to less than 3 years of carpentry experience
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Ability to work independently and supervise others
• Experience using nail guns and framing tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

• On-site construction work (no remote option)
• Full-time schedule: 07:00 to 17:00
• Physically demanding tasks in an active construction setting
