Responsibilities
Tasks
 Assist the Restaurant Manager with the daily operation and management of the restaurant.
 Supervise, coordinate, and schedule front-of-house and kitchen staff.
 Train new employees on restaurant procedures, customer service, food safety, and workplace
policies.
 Monitor food preparation, service quality, portion control, and presentation.
 Ensure the restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
 Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and monitoring food and beverage costs.
 Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues professionally.
 Coordinate restaurant activities during busy periods and ensure efficient workflow between the
kitchen and front of house.
 Monitor cash handling, daily sales, opening and closing procedures, and other administrative
duties.
 Help ensure compliance with Alberta health, safety, employment, and liquor regulations where
applicable.
 Support the Restaurant Manager with staff performance management and operational
improvements.
 Step in to perform front-of-house or kitchen duties when required during busy periods.
 Perform other duties related to restaurant operations as assigned by management.

Additional information
Knowledge of Chinese restaurant operations and a strong understanding of hand-pulled noodle culture are considered valuable assets.
