Responsibilities
Tasks
· Interact effectively with resort guests and co-workers to create a positive experience
· Monitor, respond, and process guests’ online feedback of hotel
· Handle guest registration and room assignments; accommodating special requests whenever possible in a timely manner
· Process group arrivals and departures
· Take, cancel, and change room reservations
· Answer all incoming phone calls in a professional manner
· Ensure privacy of guests
· Provide information on resort facilities and services with hours of operation
· Share general information on points of interest in the area and services in the community
· Process guest departures, calculate charges, and receive payment
· Understand basic accounting principles, including debit and credit transactions
· Complete the daily Front Desk duty sheet
· Provide supervision of Guest Service Agents (in the absence of General Manager, Assistant GM, or Guest Services Supervisor)
· Assist with training of Guest Service Agents
· Oversee all reservations, groups, proposals, and revenue management tasks as directed by the General Manager
· Monitor procedures and processes to maximize of revenues and control of expenses
· Assist the General Manager with Accounts Receivable, including company credit applications, invoicing, and collections
· Act as a concierge at front desk for VIP guests
· Complete other duties as assigned by the General Manager
