Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations at restaurants and other places that serve and prepare food and beverages.
  • Plan for and purchase food for the food service program.
  • Ensure food in storage meets adequate levels of nutri[on and sustenance.
  • Maintain required records, including food produc[on, inventory, income/expense, meal counts, and personnel records.
  • Ensure program follows proper sanita[on procedures.
  • Preside over food service employees, including cooks, food preparers, cashiers, and other employees.
  • Ensure safety standards are maintained while food is being cooked.
  • Respond to customer preferences and complaints.
  • Ensure dining experience is sa[sfactory.
  • Maintain employee records, prepare payroll if necessary, and complete paperwork to comply with laws and regula[ons.
  • Keep records of supplies and purchases.
  • The employee’s primary work loca[on will be at Taco Libre, 1919 31 St SE, Calgary, Alberta.

Supervision

  • 5-10 people
  • Staff in various areas of responsibility
