Truck Mechanic Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues and performing repairs on commercial truck systems to meet manufacturer specifications. Key duties include:

• Adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
• Adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of truck-trailer systems
• Testing and adjusting repaired systems according to manufacturer standards
• Performing scheduled maintenance services to ensure vehicle reliability and safety
• Estimating parts and labour costs for vehicle maintenance and repair work

Work Environment and Conditions

• On-site work only; no remote option

Qualifications and Experience

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
• 2 to less than 3 years of relevant mechanic experience
